Bio 2009 Conference and Show

Runner Up in the 2009 Five Ventures Forum

SensorMed (formerly known as Microscopy Research Innovations) finished second place in the 2009 Five Ventures Forum in Charlotte, NC. The company was awarded over $5,000 in professional services including research assistance and consultation. SensorMed was selected to be one of three medical device finalists in the competition out of an initial group of over 30 companies, and was evaluated by a judges panel of doctors and medical device industry experts. Finalist for the Five Ventures Forum

SensorMed has selected as a finalist for the Five Ventures Forum in Charlotte, NC. SensorMed presented to a group of investors and judges on March 18th in the semi-finals round of the forum, and was one of three medical device companies chosen to present at the finals on April 9th at UNC Charlotte's campus. The April 9th judges panel will consist of physicians and industry experts who will evaluate SensorMed based on criteria such as product viability, business plan, and market entry strategy.

University of Tennessee Business Incubator Program

SensorMed has been accepted into the University of Tennessee Business Incubator Program. As a member of the program, SensorMed will be headquartered in the brand new business incubator facility located on campus at 2450 E. J. Chapman Dr. In addition to having access to UT Researchers and staff members, SensorMed will also be working with the non-profit organization Tech 2020. Tech 2020 consultants work with companies and researchers from UT and Oak Ridge National Labs in efforts to establish viable businesses built around technologies formed in association with one or both of these entities.
